Riverside Country Club in Trenton hosted the 17th Annual Wright Memorial Hospital Foundation Charity Golf Tournament on Friday, with twenty teams from the region participated in the event. The tournament was a success, raising over $12,700 for the Foundation. These funds will be used to support future equipment purchases and improvements at Wright Memorial Hospital.
Scott Sharp, the Foundation Development Officer at Wright Memorial Hospital, expressed his gratitude to the local businesses, community members, and foundation supporters for their participation and support. He emphasized that the event was not only enjoyable but also vital in advancing the hospital’s mission of providing high-quality healthcare to the Trenton community and beyond.
In terms of the tournament results, the team called Have A Nice Day Anesthesiology emerged as the champions of the Championship Flight with a score of 55. The Gott Brothers team won the A-Flight with a score of 62, winning a tie breaker. Team Rongey/Hickory Farms claimed victory in Flight B with a score of 65.
Throughout the course, there were various challenges for the participants. Evan Fries secured the Longest Drive honor on hole #1 for the men’s category, while Linda Robertson achieved the same feat for the women’s category. Ryan Gardner sank the Longest Putt on hole #2, and Marty Chapman claimed the honor on hole #9.
