Riley, McAtee, Gibson take weekend titles for Trenton Kids Wrestlers

The Trenton Kids Wrestling Club had a busy weekend, with student-athletes representing the club participating in three separate tournaments.  Among the appearances in the 6 and under state event, the Randy Parn Tournament in Brookfield, and the Rookie State Tournament, Trenton had three first and three second place finishes.

Charlie Riley, in Sunday’s Rookie State, claimed the title in the 12 and under, 110 pound division.  In the Parn Classic, Hunter McAtee won the 14 and under, 100 pound class, with Sam Gibson taking the top spot in the 14 and under, 155 pound grouping.  Kynsen Bain, at 6 and under state, was runner-up at 55 pounds, while Riley Griffin (6 and under, 50 pounds) and Chase Foster (10 and under, 130 pounds) finished second in Brookfield.

The 6 and under state tournament was held Saturday, as was the Brookfield event, with Rookie State held on Sunday.
