The Princeton Tigers claimed a pair of lopsided victories on Tuesday night, advancing to the semifinals of the South Harrison Invitational Tournament in Bethany.
The Lady Tigers rolled to a 74-29 win over the North Harrison Lady Shamrocks, with sophomore guard Addy Henke leading PHS with 32 points. Klaire Buckler had 12 points, with Grace Kelly and Gracie Allnutt both scoring 10.
North Harrison was led by Trendi Johnson with 11 points.
The Princeton boys pulled away from Tri-County after an evenly played first quarter, cruising to a 70-34 victory over the Mustangs. Talan Holt scored 26 points, with Clay Evans adding 12, and Jaden Finney 11 for the Tigers. Tri-County’s Derrick Curtis scored 18 points.
The Princeton Lady Tigers are now 9-4 on the season, dropping North Harrison to 2-8. The Tiger boys are 8-3, with Tri-County falling to 2-8.
Other quarterfinal scores from the South Harrison Tournament were, from Tuesday: the Maysville boys routing East Harrison 91-27 and the Mercer girls downing Maysville 67-23.
Monday’s quarterfinal scores were: Northeast Nodaway girls over Tri-County 55-32; South Harrison girls over East Harrison 66-15; Mercer boys over Northeast Nodaway 51-48; and the South Harrison boys over North Harrison 68-42.
