The Princeton Lady Tiger softball team is in the frustrating position of playing well in spurts, but finding close losses pile up in Grand River Conference. Head Coach Heather Hall indicates that timely hits with scoring opportunities should boost her young team’s confidence level, as Princeton travels to Polo on Thursday night to battle the Lady Panthers (5:30 PM).
PHS comes off of a Labor Day trip to Unionville, that ended with a nine-run loss to the GRC co-leaders from Putnam County. Â In a pitchers duel last week, the Tigers dropped a 4-1 decision to Gallatin.

While the Lady Tigers look to get momentum turned heading in the middle portion of their schedule, it is a different story for the Princeton football team, as the Tigers, in the second season for Head Coach Thomas Hotmer, have dominated play for three weeks running, including a GRC opening victory over Milan last Friday night on KTTN FM 92.3.
In one of the marquee games in the GRC in 2017, the Tigers travel south this week to take on the Trenton Bulldogs at C.F. Russell Stadium, with the defending conference co-champions from THS coming off their first victory of the season, last Friday night at Putnam County.
