It has the feel of a “big game” week at Princeton High School, with the series against Trenton gaining steam off of last year’s Tiger victory at C.F. Russell Stadium, part of a Grand River Conference title for the Tigers, with the Bulldogs looking for some 2018 payback at Eddie Allen Field this Friday night (7 o’clock / Hot Country Z 101.7). Princeton and Trenton both come into the game with identical 1-1 GRC records, with the Bulldogs defeating Putnam County last Friday night 35-14 for the first win of the year for THS, while Princeton stumbled at Milan, falling to the unbeaten Wildcats.
Before getting to the interview with Coach Hotmer, it has been the best week of the softball season to date for Coach Heather Hall, as the Lady Tigers have taken Grand River Conference wins on their home field on back-to-back nights, defeating Milan on Monday night, 12-2, before rallying for a 7-6 win over Polo on Tuesday night. Maysville will visit Gentry Field on Thursday night, with the Lady Tigers looking for GRC win #3 in a row.
