The visiting Johnson County Community College Cavaliers split the season series with North Central Missouri College on Wednesday night, rallying for a 44-33 halftime deficit for a 77-75 win against the Pirates, dropping North Central’s record to 7-5.
The Cavaliers second-half efforts were led by starting shooting guard Berlin Roberson, who hit seven three-point shots in a 25 point game, adding six assists in a superlative game. General Williams contributed 16 points and 5 rebounds for JCCC, while Xavier Womack had 13 points on 5 of 9 shooting from the field.
The Pirates had four players in double figures, as sophomore Jalen Gant led the way with 18 points and 7 rebounds, with Jordan Reece continuing his steady first semester improvement, with a 14 point, 6 rebound night. Lawson native Cody Glenn came off the bench with 11 points, with Ryan Ward scoring 10. Â
North Central’s men will play their final game of the calendar year on Friday night, hosting the Central Methodist junior varsity at 7 o’clock at the Ketcham Community Center in Trenton.
