The North Central Missouri College baseball team ripped the Highland (KS) Community College Scotties on Tuesday afternoon, winning by a score of 13-3 on the Highland campus in northeast Kansas.
Three runs in the top of the first inning were followed by three more in the second, giving the Pirates a healthy early advantage. Cash Miller earned the victory with five innings of two-run baseball, with both runs unearned.
Offensively, Braedyn Brewer had a 3-for-5 afternoon, with a homer and two RBI’s.
The Pirates travel to Northern Oklahoma-Tonkawa for a four-game series this weekend. Tonkawa is ranked #4 in the latest NJCAA Division Two standings. North Central’s spring record sits at 7-9.
