The North Central Missouri College Pirates put six players in double figures, led by Major Finley’s 20 points, in a 107-84 win over the visiting William Penn University JV on Monday night at the Ketcham Community Center in Trenton.
NCMC withstood a spectacular effort from William Penn’s Malyk Thomas, who led all scorers with 45 points. The Pirates balance spelled victory, with Demetrius Houston Jr. scoring 15, Jalen Gant 14, Tyreke Bell 11, and M.J. Johnson and Teyontae Jenkins 10 points each.
The win, North Central’s fourth in a row, improves the Pirates season mark to 14-8. The Pirates will host the Culver-Stockton JV on Wednesday night at 7:30, immediately following the Lady Pirates Region 16 home test with Cottey College (5:30). The women’s game will be broadcast on Hot Country Z 101.7.
