Penney Hornets sweep team titles on Thursday’s THS Early Bird Relays

The Penney High School Hornets (Hamilton, MO) won the girls and boys team competitions at Thursday afternoon’s Trenton Early Bird Relays at C.F. Russell Stadium.  The Lady Hornets racked up 136 points to outdistance Brookfield’s 102 points and third-place Gallatin’s 78.  The Penney boys, with 119 points, took the team championship, followed by Milan’s runner-up total of 101 points and Putnam County in third at 98 1/2.

The Princeton girls, with 77 points, were fourth, followed by Trenton’s fifth place tally of 75.  The Gallatin boys were fifth place with 74 points, followed by Trenton (51 1/2) and Princeton (49).
