The Penney Lady Hornets defeated the Winston Lady Redbirds 43-12 on Monday night, in the last of three games played on the first night of action at 2016 North Central Missouri College Holiday Hoops.
McKauley Prothero led the Lady Hornets attack with 13 points.
Bucklin-Macon County defeated Tri-County in a girls-boys doubleheader to open play at the Ketcham Community Center, with the BMC girls claiming a 48-36 victory. Â Cheyanne Peterson had 15 points and Kellen Robertson 14 points for the winning side. Â The Lady Mustangs had 14 points from freshman Bailee Hoover.
The Bucklin-Macon County boys doubled up Tri-County, 62-31, with Tyler Brosdahl putting in 19 points and Bennett Duncan 17 for the winning side. Lance Cook paced Tri-County’s boys with 13 points.
In other action on Monday night, the Osborn Wildcats split a doubleheader with the West Nodaway Rockets. Â The Osborn Lady Wildcats claimed a 47-29 victory, while the West Nodaway boys dropped Osborn to 1-7, winning 54-29.
