The Pattonsburg Panthers will take a record of 6-1 into a home game with Kansas City East Christian School on Friday night, with the Panther program still basking in the glow of a program-defining road win at Worth County last Friday night. The result puts Pattonsburg right in the middle of the chase for the Grand River Conference’s Western Division title with two weeks remaining in the regular season, as next week, at Pattonsburg victory over Albany, combined with a Worth County win over unbeaten Stanberry, would leave the Panthers, Tigers, and Bulldogs in a three-way tie for the GRC West crown. A Stanberry win would clinch the title for SHS.
Both going into the opportunity to play at Worth County, and after the result from Grant City, KTTN Sports spoke with Panther Head Football Coach Chase Roberts about the state of the Pattonsburg program heading into the month of October. Here are the interviews, originally aired at 6 PM on Tuesday, October 2nd and Tuesday, October 9th, from 92.3 FM on the dial.
