The high school football poll, released Monday afternoon by the Missouri Sportswriters and Sportscasters Association, remains on the fairly steady side, particularly as it pertains to area squads across north-central Missouri. The Grand River Conference leaders from Milan High School are ranked 10th in Class 1, looking to complete an unbeaten season and clinch an outright conference title on Friday night, hosting Polo. In Class 1, the Westran Hornets two-point loss at Marceline was damaging for the Huntsville school both in the Lewis and Clark race, and in the poll, with the Hornets tumbling four spots, from #2 to #6, with Marceline up a spot to #4 and Fayette at #2, one spot behind Hayti.
