The North Central Missouri College Lady Pirates had a workmanlike effort on Tuesday night, in a 71-55 victory in Creston, Iowa against the Lady Spartans of Southwestern Community College.  The win, North Central’s sixth in a row, moves Jenni Croy’s team to 7-2 on the season, dropping SWICC to the break-even mark at 3-3.

Three players reached double figures in the score column for NCMC, as Kendey Eaton and Sarah Lamp both had 13 points (Lamp added 10 rebounds).  Brookfield native Ashtin Williams scored 12 points off the bench for the Lady Pirates.  Whitley Richman was held to four points, but led the team in rebounding with 14.

NCMC slowly built the lead over Southwestern, with a four point advantage (19-15) after one quarter, 37-28 at halftime, and 57-39 at the end of three.

The Lady Pirates are off for the Thanksgiving weekend, with the next game on the slate a visit to the Ketcham Community Center by Southwestern on Wednesday night, November 29th.  The 5:30 contest from NCMC, in addition to the 7:30 men’s game that follows, will both be broadcast on Hot Country Z 101.7.
