OTTUMWA, Ia. (NCMCPirates.com) – The NCMC Lady Pirates were handed a couple road defeats on Tuesday by a very tough Indian Hills Community College team. The final score of both games was 13-0 and the losses move the Lady Pirates record to 15-7.
“We played a very good team. I felt like we didn’t bring the intensity that was needed to compete with them. It was a great opportunity for us to realize that we have to play our best every time we step on the field, and if we don’t, the outcome will be what it was against Indian Hills,” remarked Coach Richman of the day’s action and the renewed focus and intensity needed for his team’s success.
Sophomore Aubrey Nelson provided 2 of the Lady Pirate’s 3 hits on the day. Pitchers taking the losses were Allison Hilsabeck in game one and Jessica Stupar in game two.
The next action for the Lady Pirates will be a road doubleheader on Friday against St. Charles Community College.
