Continuing a renewed focus on “keeping local athletes local”, the North Central Missouri College Pirates have signed Chillicothe High School senior Tristen Sewell to the Pirate baseball program.  NCMC Coach Donnie Hillerman, with the signing, said “Tristen shows nice, raw tools.  We have had his fastball locked as high as 84 mph and we think there is room to grow”.

NCMC Assistant Coach Ryan Suttenfield added, “What I really like about Tristen is his work ethic.  He has been to multiple workouts for us and he is very eager to learn.  That is the type of drive and determination we need from all of our players”.

As a junior in the Spring 2016 season, Sewell was 1-2 for the Hornets with a 4.60 ERA, while batting a robust .347.
