North Central Missouri College men’s golf has added Lewis Hopkinson of Huddersfield, England to the Pirate roster for the 2017-18 season. Hopkinson is an accomplished junior player, representing both the Halifax Huddersfield Junior Union Side and the Halifax Bradley Halls Scratch Team.

Three years ago, Hopkinson achieved medalist honors in the Yorkshire Region Golf Factor, and at the age of 15, became the youngest player to win the Lord Mexborough Cup in the 110 year history of the event.

NCMC coach Craig Sager spoke highly about a “vibe he picked up on Hopkinson the first time he spoke with him”, adding he believes he is “a kid with the confidence to compete in the college game”.

North Central Missouri College will be entering its second season of men’s golf competition in the 2017-18 school year.
