As reported last week by the PAR Broadcast Group, The North Central Missouri College Pirates have signed 6 foot, 3 inch senior Calvin Heidenwith, the leading scorer in the Grand River Conference in the 2016-2017 season, to a letter of intent.

Heidenwith put up eye-popping numbers in his senior season in Unionville, averaging 29.6 points per game, and finishing his career with 1,898 points, the most in the history of the Midgets boys basketball program.  In his senior season, Heidenwith set a school record with a 51 point game, in addition to most three-pointers in a game (11), most points scored in a single season (798), most 3’s made in a season (106), and most 3’s made in a career (272).

After the signing, occurring last week in the Putnam County High School Library in Unionville, Pirates second-year coach Jeremy Esry spoke highly of Heidenwith’s “ability to shoot the basketball” and “classroom excellence adding to the character” of the NCMC program.
