The North Central Missouri College men’s basketball team advances to the quarterfinals of the national tournament following a two-point victory this morning.
The NCMC Lady Pirates, competing in the women’s national tournament, lost their quarterfinal basketball game today. Unbeaten Johnson County Community College of Kansas defeated NCMC by a score of 55 to 43. It was only a two-point difference at the end of the third quarter, but the Lady Pirates could only tally 4 points in the final quarter of the game.
In the men’s game this morning, NCMC took down McComb Community College from Michigan, by a score of 82 to 80. The Pirates advance to their next game in the NJCAA tournament on Wednesday, March 20, at 6 p.m. vs. the National Park Community College team from Arkansas. The next game for the NCMC Lady Pirates in their NJCAA Division Two tournament will be Thursday at noon. There’s no broadcast of the women’s games.

The Pirates had four players score in double figures: Isaiah Reams with 25, Jon Carroll with 22, Tyler King with 15, and Giovanni Mack had 11 points.
