The North Central Missouri College women rode another double-double from freshman Sarah Lamp to an 82-69 victory at John Wood Community College on Friday night.
Playing on John Wood’s floor in Quincy, Illinois, Lamp scored 25 points and grabbed 16 rebounds in the victory, improving NCMC to 5-2. Dasia Young had the best game of her sophomore season with an 18 point night, while Kendey Eaton added 13.
For John Wood, now 1-4 on the campaign, Michaela Gronewold had 17 points, Lexus Fox 16, while Samm Jett and Madelyn Hyer both netted 10.
NCMC will continue play in the John Wood Classic on Saturday afternoon, playing Bryant & Stratton (Wisconsin) College at 1 o’clock. The Lady Pirates next home game is Monday night at 5:30 against the William Penn junior varsity.
