NCMC announces Winter Warm-Up Clinic plans

North Central Missouri College will collaborate with the Kansas City Royals Amateur Development System for the Winter Warm Up Baseball Coaches Clinic.

The event will be at the Ketcham Community Center in Trenton February 5th. Opening remarks will be at 9 o’clock that morning. A lunch break will be from noon to 1 o’clock. The event will wrap up at 4:30.

The clinic is designed to meet the needs of coaches at the novice, youth, high school, and college levels. Breakout sessions will be available for all levels of coaching, which will be designed to cover the basics through advanced instruction.

The clinic will cover a variety of baseball topics, including practice organization, pitching, fielding, and hitting. Discussions will focus on mechanics and philosophy. Ideas, drills, and tips will be shared.

Clinic speakers will include Kansas City Royals Senior Advisory Mike Arbuckle, Former Player and Manager John “Duke” Wathan, and Manager of Sport Development Shon Plack. Other speakers will be NCMC Pirates coaches Donnie Hillerman, Ryan Suttenfield, and Jared Fry.

Preregistration will go through January 27th. The cost is $40 per coach. There is a team rate of $40 for the first coach and $15 for each additional coach with a limit of three additional coaches per team.
