The Phoenix Suns have made some moves in their roster during the offseason, as reported by a person familiar with the situation to The Associated Press. Guard Cameron Payne has been traded to the San Antonio Spurs, while the Suns have signed big man Bol Bol to a one-year contract.

Additionally, the Suns have acquired three second-round draft picks from the Orlando Magic in exchange for a swap of first-round picks in the 2026 NBA draft. These deals have not yet been officially announced and the person shared the information on the condition of anonymity.

The Suns, who previously traded for Bradley Beal, have been active in building a roster around Beal, Devin Booker, and Kevin Durant, despite expectations of a quiet offseason.

The trade involving Cameron Payne includes a second-round pick and cash going to the Spurs in exchange for a future protected second-round pick, providing the Suns with salary cap space.

With the path cleared, the Suns have signed Bol Bol, a 7-foot-2 player and the son of former NBA player Manute Bol. Bol averaged 9.1 points and 5.8 rebounds last season after spending three years with the Denver Nuggets.

Payne played an important role as a reserve for the Suns during their run to the 2021 NBA Finals. The 6-foot-1 guard averaged 10.8 points and 4.5 assists last season, his fourth with Phoenix.

During the opening of free agency last month, the Suns also reached agreements with Yuta Watanabe, Chimezie Metu, Drew Eubanks, and Keita Bates-Diop, adding sharpshooting, size, and wing depth to their roster.
