De’Myla Brown, a guard from Houston, has announced her commitment to the Missouri women’s basketball team as a transfer. Brown, originally from Little Rock, Arkansas, will be joining her fifth collegiate program after previously playing at Western Kentucky, Chipola College in Florida, Illinois, and Houston.

During her time at Houston, Brown played in 14 games coming off the bench, averaging 5.9 points, 2.1 rebounds, 0.8 assists, and 1.1 steals per game. She started 12 games for Illinois, where she averaged 8.1 points and led the team with 30 steals in 27 appearances. Brown was also named an NJCAA Division I first-team All-American during her time at Chipola College, where she averaged 20.2 points per game.

Brown faced Missouri while playing for Illinois in the Braggin’ Rights contest in December 2021. Despite the loss, she scored 22 points in the game and contributed four assists and four steals.

Brown joins two other transfers, Abby Feit from Evansville and Angelique Ngalakulondi from UMass, as offseason additions for the Tigers. Additionally, the team has secured commitments from two international freshmen, Lucija Milkovic from Croatia and Hilke Feldrappe from Germany. They will be joining the incoming freshman class of Grace Slaughter, Abbey Schreacke, and Hannah Linthacum.
