The University of Missouri softball program, bringing back starting talent at nearly every position this spring, has been picked to finish fifth in the Southeastern Conference, in results from the coaches preseason poll released on Monday.
Alabama, Florida, Arkansas, and Tennessee all received at least one first place vote, all finishing ahead of Mizzou in the poll.
Last spring, MU finished fourth in the SEC, behind Florida, Arkansas, and Alabama.
The Tigers open the 2022 season against Penn State on Friday, February 11th at 9 o’clock in the morning.
