Missouri basketball guard Caleb Grill is set to miss 5-7 weeks due to a wrist injury, a stretch that began with Saturday’s Border War loss at No. 2 Kansas.

Grill, who hails from Kansas, was spotted during warmups wearing a cast on his left wrist, which is his non-shooting arm, according to a news release from Missouri coach Dennis Gates.

The injury occurred Sunday, December 3rd during a game against Wichita State. Grill, a graduate student, underwent successful surgery earlier in the week, and his recovery timeline is estimated at five to seven weeks, with the possibility of returning sooner.

Grill has been a significant contributor for Missouri this season, starting in five games and averaging 8.4 points per game. He also ranks second on the team in rebounds with an average of 5.8 per game. His absence will be a notable setback for the Tigers, especially in the upcoming game against Kansas and throughout the recovery period.
