The Missouri baseball team has secured its third commitment from the transfer portal in just two days. Jedier Hernandez, a catcher from Seton Hall, took to Twitter on Friday to announce his decision to join the Tigers.
This follows the recent announcements made by Wake Forest infielder Danny Corona Jr. and Texas Tech outfielder Jeric Curtis on Thursday, marking the first official additions to the team since new MU coach Kerrick Jackson took over.
Hernandez, a rising junior hailing from Trenton, New Jersey, has showcased his skills behind the plate for the Seton Hall Pirates during the 2023 season. In his 46 appearances, he tallied an impressive 251 putouts with only four errors. Offensively, Hernandez displayed power by hitting three home runs and driving in 27 runs, all while maintaining a solid .273 batting average.
With the addition of Hernandez, along with Corona Jr. and Curtis, the Missouri baseball team is strengthening its roster through the transfer portal. These newcomers will be valuable assets as the Tigers look to compete in their upcoming season under the guidance of Coach Kerrick Jackson.
