The University of Missouri football program is adding defensive end D.J. Coleman out of Jacksonville State, hoping to add an effective edge rusher to the 2022 roster. The Athletic had ranked Coleman, as of the time of his commitment, as the seventh-best player remaining in the transfer portal.
At JSU, Coleman was a second-team FCS All-American in the 2021 Spring Season, in addition to earning status as a first-team defender in the Ohio Valley Conference. Over two seasons, he racked up nine sacks and 54 tackles, 12 of those for a loss.
