TeriAnna Mohler smashed a third-inning grand slam, but it was a two-run rally in the top of the 7th inning that proved critical, as the North Central Missouri College softball team claimed a 6-5 road win in Hillsboro, against Jefferson College, on Tuesday afternoon.

McKinley Hurley scored in both the 3rd and 7th innings for Nort Central, part of a two hit game.  Courtney Seymour was right in the middle of the two rallies, reaching by a single and walk, stealing a base, and scoring one run.
Allison Hilsabeck picked up the win for North Central, improving to 12-2, giving up seven hits and five runs (four earned) in seven innings of work.
Game #1 at Jefferson turned into a pitchers duel, with Jefferson claiming a 2-1 win with a run in the bottom of the 7th inning. Â NCMC answered a Jefferson run in the bottom of the 3rd inning with a run in the top of the 4th inning, as Rachael Balke drove in Madi Trump, who had a double and a walk in the contest for a Lady Pirate offense held to only four hits.
North Central Missouri College will host Crowder College on Friday afternoon at Mark Griffin Memorial Field in Trenton. Â It will be “Sophomore Recognition Day” for the Lady Pirates softball program.
