The Tigers forced 26 turnovers, including 15 steals, and held Lincoln to 18-of-53 shooting from the field. Missouri went 10-for-19 from beyond the arc.
Sophomore guard Anthony Robinson II spearheaded the defensive effort with a game-high six steals. Robinson also had four assists and four points.
Junior guard Mark Mitchell impressed in his Mizzou debut, scoring 22 points on 7-of-9 shooting, including 2-for-2 from 3-point range.
Graduate guard Caleb Grill delivered a strong two-way performance, scoring 20 points and going 5-for-6 on 3-pointers. Grill added six rebounds and two steals.
Missouri’s season opener is set for Nov. 4 at 7 p.m. against Memphis at FedExForum.
Coach Dennis Gates expressed hopes that the early game experience will benefit his younger players, helping alleviate early-season jitters and anxiety.
Gates sat graduate student Tony Perkins, an Iowa transfer, as a precautionary measure. Every other freshman and scholarship player saw court time, except redshirt freshmen Danny Stephens and JV Brown.
