The University of Missouri has announced SEC matchups for the women’s and men’s basketball programs for the 2021-2022 season. The Mizzou men will open conference play at Kentucky on Wednesday, December 29th, with the women hosting South Carolina on Thursday, December 30th.
In total, the Missouri men, in conference play, will take on up to 10 tournament teams from a year ago, four of those having finished in the final AP Top 25. After the late December trip to Lexington to play the Wildcats, Cuonzo Martin’s team jumps into 2022 with a home date with the Mississippi State Bulldogs on January 5th, and a home date with Alabama on January 8th. The Arkansas Razorbacks host Mizzou on January 12th, with Texas A&M at Mizzou Arena on January 15th, followed by the Tigers traveling to Ole Miss and Alabama. Auburn will be in Columbia to take on the Tigers on January 25th, before Missouri treks north to Ames, Iowa to play the Iowa State Cyclones in the SEC/Big 12 Challenge on January 29th.
February sees Missouri with home dates against Florida (2/2), Ole Miss (2/12), Arkansas (2/15), and Tennessee (2/22), with road trips to Texas A&M, Vanderbilt, Mississippi State, and LSU.
There are two conference games in the month of March, with South Carolina visiting Mizzou for the Tigers Senior Day on March 1th, while Missouri plays at Georgia on March 5th.
The 2022 SEC Men’s Basketball Tournament will be held at Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida from March 9th to the 13th.
After the women open SEC play at home against national powerhouse South Carolina, coach Robin Pingeton will take her squad to Vanderbilt on January 2nd, with other January road tests at Arkansas (1/9), LSU (1/13), Mississippi State (1/27), and Alabama (1/30). January games at Mizzou Arena will be against Auburn (1/6), Georgia (1/17), and Texas A&M (1/23).
Kicking off the month of February, Mizzou hosts Ole Miss on February 3rd, and travels to tradition-rich Tennessee on February 10th. Arkansas visits MU the following week, with a trip to Georgia on February 17th. Mississippi State is at Missouri on February 20th, with MU at Kentucky on the 24th, and at Florida on the 27th.
The 2022 SEC Women’s Basketball comes to Bridgestone Arena in downtown Nashville, Tennessee from March 2nd through the 6th.
