Adam Bay of Mesa, Arizona has announced, via Twitter, a verbal commitment to the University of Missouri football program. Bay is considered to be, by Kohl’s Kicking Camps, the #1 long snapping recruit in the country for the Class of 2017.
Mizzou, in recent years, has given more attention to its kicking game through the use of scholarships, with sophomore punter Corey Fatony earning Freshman All-American honors in 2015 after being recruited as a scholarship player. Incoming freshman Tucker McCann of O’Fallon, Illinois is hoping to follow Fatony’s lead this fall, going the same path.
Bay, if he signs with Mizzou on February’s signing day, would likely take the position currently held by Jake Hurrell, a senior this fall who has long snapped for the Tigers since he was a redshirt freshman in 2013 under then-Head Coach Gary Pinkel.
