The University of Missouri football program has been picked for a fourth-place finish, behind Georgia, Florida, and Kentucky, but ahead of Tennessee, South Carolina, and Vanderbilt, in the SEC’s media preseason poll announced on Friday.

In the 10-game 2020 season, Missouri finished third place in the eastern division, one game ahead of Kentucky.  Florida won the division with Georgia in the runner-up position.

Picked to win the SEC West was Alabama, with the Crimson Tide picked to win the Southeastern Conference, with 84 of 129 first-place votes.

Missouri’s Trajan Jeffcoat, a redshirt junior, was named a second-team All-SEC preseason selection.  In 2020, Jeffcoat’s six sacks and 18 tackles earned him first-team honors.  Center Michael Maetti, a transfer from Rutgers prior to last season, was named to the preseason third team.
