The Missouri Tigers will tip off the highly-anticipated 2017-2018 men’s basketball season tonight, welcoming former conference rival Iowa State to Mizzou Arena for an 8 o’clock tip.

Due to coverage of the Princeton at East Buchanan quarterfinal football game tonight on KTTN, the broadcast from the Tiger Radio Network on 92.3 FM will be pre-empted.  The SEC Network will have coverage of the game from Columbia.

The meeting between the Tigers and Cyclones will be the 234th between the programs all-time, trailing only Kansas (267) and Kansas State (236) in all-time Mizzou lore.

The three leading scorers for the Tigers from last season return, with Jordan Barnett, Kevin Puryear, and Terrence Phillips providing leadership for a team that adds the nation’s #1 prospect in Michael Porter Jr., the centerpiece of the top recruiting class that also includes East St. Louis, Illinois big man Jeremiah Tilmon, and Jontay Porter, the highly-recruited younger brother of Michael Porter Jr.

Mizzou Arena is sold out for the 2017-2018 season, with the public season ticket sales total of 9.572 setting a school record.  Last year’s public season ticket total was 5,802.
