Missouri men’s golf coach Mark Hankins has resigned from his position with the Tigers and has been announced as the newest men’s golf coach at the University of Southern California (USC). Hankins had previously served as co-head coach at Missouri and took over as head coach following the retirement of Mark Leroux on July 1. Hankins had been with Missouri since May 2021.
Missouri athletic director Desireé Reed-Francois expressed gratitude for Hankins’ service and wished him well in his future endeavors. Reed-Francois also emphasized that Missouri’s golf program is on the rise and that they will work quickly to find a coach who can continue building their championship culture.
Hankins’ appointment at USC comes after former USC coach J.T. Higgins resigned on June 7. USC had announced that a national search for Higgins’ replacement would commence immediately.
