Admittedly much later than usual due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the complete schedules for the University of Missouri women’s and men’s basketball seasons are expected to be released soon. However, despite the lack of a concrete “schedule”, there are pieces of the slate of games beginning to become known.
The Missouri men will host the Bradley University Braves at 7 o’clock in the evening on Tuesday, December 22nd, according to an early week release from Bradley concerning the school’s non-conference schedule. Bradley should be a quality Christmas week test for the Tigers, with BU winning back-to-back Missouri Valley Conference Tournament championships and coming off a 23-11 season in 2019-2020.
Missouri, on Saturday, January 30th, will host TCU in the Big 12/SEC Challenge. Tip-time is still not known for the game against the Horned Frogs, with coverage of that game on either ESPN, ESPN2, or ESPNU.
In addition to Mizzou’s SEC’s games, set to be played from early January to early March, the Tigers will have non-conference games in Columbia with Liberty and Oral Roberts, and a trip to Wichita State.
The Missouri women will travel to Lubbock, Texas on December 10th to play former Big 12 rival Texas Tech in a noon tip, according to the TTU athletics website. The Red Raiders lead the all-time series with Mizzou, 7-4, but the schools have not met since the Tigers left the Big 12 for the SEC in 2012.
