Mizzou football misses on Kansas City area talents

Tennessee and Oklahoma received verbal commitments from high school seniors in the Kansas City metropolitan area in recent days, with the in-state Missouri Tigers continuing to struggle to pick up area commitments for the Class of 2023.

On Friday afternoon, Lee’s Summit North High School senior Cayden Green passed on offers from Mizzou, LSU, and Nebraska to join the football program at the University of Oklahoma.  Green is a 6’5″, 315 pound prospect ranked by 247Sports as the #14 offensive tackle in the U.S.

On Sunday afternoon, the top-rated player in the state of Missouri, Platte County High School edge rusher Chandavian Bradley, verballed to the Tennessee Volunteers.  Bradley, according to 247Sports, is ranked the #5 edge rusher in the country in the 2023 class.  He is recruit #17 for the Vols in the Class of 2023, ranked #5 in the nation overall.
