The University of Missouri has announced a contract extension for defensive coordinator Blake Baker, keeping him in Columbia through the 2025 season.
The extension had been hinted at by head coach Eliah Drinkwitz during the November 2nd edition of Tiger Talk, as Baker is rewarded for improving a Missouri defense that struggled in 2021 under Steve Wilks, but has improved to the 19th best unit in college football in 2022, behind only Georgia and Alabama among SEC squads.
The extension for Baker will include a yet-to-be-announced increase in his annual salary. Under terms of his original deal, Baker was set to make $700,000 in the 2023 season.
