Mizzou drops two spots in AP poll, setting up Top-20 battle with Tennessee

After a 30-21 loss to No. 1 Georgia, Missouri dropped two spots in The Associated Press poll to No. 16. Their previous spot at No. 14 was filled by Tennessee, their upcoming opponent. Tennessee moved up five spots after defeating UConn 59-3. The game between Missouri and Tennessee will be aired on CBS at 2:30 p.m. and marks the Tigers’ fourth consecutive sellout, a feat not achieved since 1980.  Coverage on the Tiger Radio Network, and local affiliate KTTN FM 92.3, will hit the air at 12:30.

Missouri’s upcoming game against Florida on November 18 will be aired on ESPN with kickoff time announced for 6:30, and their regular-season finale against Arkansas on November 24 will be broadcast on CBS at 3 p.m.

Missouri linebacker Ty’Ron Hopper was named one of the 12 semifinalists for the Butkus Award, given to the nation’s best linebacker. He had an impressive performance against Georgia, recording 10 tackles, including a sack and a tackle for loss. The winner of the Butkus Award will be announced on December 7.
