East St. Louis (Illinois) quarterback Reyondous “Rey” Estes has followed up a recent trip to the University of Missouri with a verbal commitment to the Tigers, leaving behind a prior commitment to Western Michigan.  Estes is the 12th verbal commitment for the Class of 2017 at MU.

Estes, a self-described Mizzou fan, impressed Head Coach Barry Odom and Offensive Coordinator Josh Heupel with his throwing ability on July 23rd, heading the school to offer what the senior had craved, a scholarship offer to play quarterback at his dream school.

Estes, 6-foot-1 and 175 pounds threw for 11 touchdowns in 2015, in a five-game season shortened by a teacher’s strike in the East St. Louis district.  He ran for five touchdowns, averaging over 10 yards per carry.
