The University of Tennessee department of athletics has announced the hiring of Ryan Alpert, who is leaving the University of Missouri to become the Volunteers’ new deputy athletic director and chief operating officer.  At MU, Alpert had served, since April 2020, as deputy athletic director for external operations.

Alpert is the second deputy athletic director to leave Mizzou this summer, joining Nick Joos, who departed for a job in the athletics department at Iowa State University.

In Columbia, Alpert worked to develop revenue streams while overseeing the ticketing, marketing, and fundraising departments, in addition to work with Mizzou Sports Properties and the Tiger Scholarship Fund.

Prior to coming to Missouri, Alpert had worked in the athletics departments at Florida Atlantic in addition to Memphis.
