Missouri State University shooting guard Isiaih Mosley has announced, via Instagram, a transfer to the University of Missouri, sending the Rock Bridge High School product “home” to play under new head coach Dennis Gates.

Mosley’s attraction to MU occurred late in the transfer process, as early reports had Kansas, Kansas State, Florida, and Mississippi State the most likely landing spots for Mosley, but Missouri, featuring the “home court advantage”, entered the picture late and succeeded in adding needed scoring punch for the Tigers 2022-2023 backcourt.

At Missouri State, Mosley was a star for the Bears, averaging 20.4 points per game in the 2021-2022 season, his second straight as a first-team All-Missouri Valley Conference selection.  He shot 50.4% from the field and 42.7% from the three-point line, particularly notable for a Tiger program that was one of the nation’s poorest shooting teams from three-point territory last season.  His season-high, a 43 point performance, came in a loss to Northern Iowa on January 8th.

At Missouri, Mosley will join a backcourt that has completely been rebuilt in the program’s move from Cuonzo Martin to Dennis Gates, as national JUCO player of the year Sean East, Clemson transfer Nick Honor, Cleveland State incomers D’Moi Hodge and Tre Gomillion, and Milwaukee transfer DeAndre Gholston are all Columbia-bound.
