Following an April 4th offer and an official visit to campus this week, Rivals.com is reporting that the University of Missouri basketball program has gained the commitment of University of Evansville transfer Dru Smith.

Smith, an Evansville native, averaged 13.7 points, 4.6 assists, and 3.5 rebounds per game in 2017-2018 for the Aces.  He will have to sit out the 2018-2019 season at Mizzou due to transfer rules, then have two years of eligibility to use with the Tigers.

Smith is the fifth commitment in Cuonzo Martin’s Class of 2018, joining Illinois transfer Mark Smith, Illinois-Chicago transfer K.J. Santos, Whitfield High School (Creve Coeur) senior Torrence Watson, and Belleville, Illinois (Belleville East) High School senior Javon Pickett.

Missouri is one of four finalists dueling to win the commitment of 2018 Missouri Mr. Basketball winner Courtney Ramey, a nationally-ranked Top 20 guard from Webster Groves High School.
