A defensive tackle from ASA College in Brooklyn, New York, 6’3″ 315 pounder Rashad Brandon, has committed to play football for Barry Odom’s Tigers at the University of Missouri.

Brandon committed to MU on Saturday, choosing the Tigers over an offer from Ole Miss.  He also had a recent visit with the Oklahoma Sooners.  Brandon, a product of Jersey City, New Jersey, was the Northeast Football Conference Defensive Player of the Year this fall.

His arrival in Columbia should have immediate benefits to a defensive line that, while talented, has two key players in Terry Becker Jr. and Markell Utsey attempting to rebound from season-ending injuries in 2016.

Brandon’s signing with Missouri is expected in December, and his enrollment in January.
