Missouri football’s recruiting efforts for the Class of 2024 continue to grow stronger, as they secured their 13th commitment with a three-star defensive end, Jaylen Brown, hailing from Madison, Alabama. Brown made the announcement on X, formerly known as Twitter, revealing his choice of the Tigers over Houston and Maryland.
Standing at 6-foot-6 and weighing 240 pounds, Brown is an edge rusher with potential. He visited Columbia in July and received an offer from the coaching staff. Notably, he is ranked as the 44th-best prospect in the Class of 2024 in the state of Alabama by 247 Sports.
Brown becomes the second defensive end to commit to the class, following the earlier commitment of five-star prospect Williams Nwaneri earlier in the month. The defensive line group is further bolstered by Justin Bedford, a product from Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
With 13 commitments now secured, Missouri’s 2024 recruiting class ranks 48th in the country according to Rivals. In terms of average star level, the class holds a respectable position at 23rd. The Tigers’ recruitment efforts are evidently making an impact on the football scene, as they gather promising talents for their upcoming seasons.
