Missouri fans are in for an early start as the Tigers prepare to face the No. 13 LSU Tigers on October 7th. The game is set to kick off at 11 a.m. and will be broadcast on ESPN, according to an announcement from the Southeastern Conference.
This will mark the second sellout home game of the season for the now-No. 23-ranked Missouri team. The first sellout occurred during their Week 3 victory over Kansas State, which also had an 11 a.m. kickoff.
ESPN’s selection of the 11 a.m. time slot highlights the significance of this matchup. It’s typically considered the third- or second-most desirable time slot after the 2:30 p.m. kickoff on CBS. Notably, the 2:30 p.m. slot will feature No. 12 Alabama facing off against Texas A&M, while No. 1 Georgia takes on Kentucky at 6 p.m., also on ESPN.
This upcoming game against LSU will mark Missouri’s first meeting with the Tigers since their memorable 45-41 victory on October 10, 2020.
