The University of Missouri’s football team bolstered its defensive line Tuesday night, securing a commitment from Northwest Missouri State defensive end Langden Kitchen.
Kitchen, a 6-foot-7, 270-pound transfer from Huntsville, Missouri, played two seasons at Northwest Missouri State after starring in high school at Westran. This season, he accumulated 21 tackles, including 8.5 for loss, 5.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, and three passes defended.
Kitchen, who entered the transfer portal on Nov. 25, chose Mizzou over offers from Kansas, Oklahoma State, Iowa State, Wisconsin, and California.
Kitchen’s addition addresses a pressing need for the Tigers, who lost freshmen defensive ends Williams Nwaneri and Jaylen Brown to transfers. He will join a defensive line room that includes Johnny Walker Jr. and Joe Moore III, both of whom have one season of eligibility remaining.
In related Tiger recruiting news, Penn State redshirt sophomore quarterback Beau Pribula visited the Columbia campus on Tuesday, according to reports from CBS Sports and 247Sports. Pribula, who entered the transfer portal on Monday, is also considering Iowa and UCF.
Pribula served primarily as a backup for the Nittany Lions, but rushed for six touchdowns in 2023 and four more in 2024.
Army running back Kanye Udoh and Louisiana Monroe running back Ahmad Hardy will visit Mizzou on Wednesday.
The Tigers need to fill a void at running back after true freshman Kewan Lacy transferred to Ole Miss. Nate Noel and Marcus Carroll are in their final year of eligibility.
Udoh, a 6-foot, 215-pound sophomore, rushed for 1,641 yards and 11 touchdowns in two seasons with Army. Hardy, a 5-10, 205-pound freshman, tallied 1,351 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns this season.
