Missouri basketball looks strong heading into Thanksgiving

The Missouri Tigers defeated Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Sunday afternoon, taking a dominant 112-63 victory at Mizzou Arena. 

Graduate guard Caleb Grill continued his hot streak from behind the 3-point line for Mizzou, connecting for 13 points on 4-of-8 shooting accuracy.  In Missouri’s last four games, Grill is 21-of-31 from three-point range for the 5-1 Tigers. 

Mark Mitchell had 14 first half points against UAPB, as Missouri led 52-25 at the break.  Anthony Robinson II had his first career double-double, with 11 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists. 

On Friday night, Missouri won a battle of Tigers with Pacific by a score of 91-56.   Grill had 25 points for MU, including seven three-point hits.  Tamar Bates had 11 points and Trent Pierce 10 for the Tigers. 

Pacific played competitively early before a 15-2 Missouri run gave the home team momentum at the 14 minute mark of the first half. 

The Missouri defense forced 14 Pacific turnovers in the contest, leading directly to 24 points.  The Missouri bench outscored Pacific’s entire team in the contest 57-56.
