The Milan Lady Wildcat softball team will be a youthful outfit in 2018, but a talented and deep freshman class, many of whom will see varsity playing time over the next six weeks, have hopes increased for a resurgence in the program, Milan’s third in the Grand River Conference. The Lady ‘Cats are scheduled to host Gallatin the GRC and season opener on Tuesday, August 28th.
The first “Nathan Dodson Show” with the coach of the Lady ‘Cats originally aired on Thursday, August 23rd at 5:30. Here is a replay of that interview, conducted by Sports Director Tom Johnson:
Speaking of a resurgence, many of the same boys that led Milan to the Class 2 boy’s state quarterfinals in basketball will lead the Wildcat football team into the 2018 season, with home non-conference dates with Plattsburg and Mark Twain facing the suddenly experienced and talented ‘Cats crew. Head Coach John Dabney, while acknowledging his team’s ability, is taking things one step at a time as his team, with one first-place vote, but just a fifth-place finish predicted, in the pre-season GRC poll, look to silence their doubters.
Here is the “John Dabney Show”, airing Thursday nights at 5:45 on KTTN FM 92.3:
