Midgets earn top seed, Trenton #4, at Saturday’s Centralia Softball Tournament

Centralia High School will host the 2019 Centralia Invitational Softball Tournament on Saturday (October 5th) at the two diamonds making up the Nathan A. Toalson Bicentennial Park in Centralia.

Unbeaten Putnam County has earned the #1 seed for the event, with Trenton’s Lady Bulldogs, on the same side of the bracket as the rival Lady Midgets, sitting as the #4 seed.  Palmyra is the #2 seed with Mexico as the 3.  Other teams in the tournament are Macon, Hallsville, North Callaway, and Centralia.

Quarterfinal matches start at 9 AM with, both on the BOTTOM half of the bracket, Palmyra battling Hallsville and Mexico taking on Centralia.  At 10:30, at the TOP of the bracket, Putnam County plays Macon, with Trenton drawing North Callaway.

Consolation semifinals will be played at 12:30, with the championship semifinals at 2:15.  The consolation final and 3rd place game will be at 4 o’clock, with the championship game set for a 5:45 start.
