The Mercer softball team opened the season on Saturday, going 1-1 to finish in 2nd place in the East Harrison Tournament in Cainsville. As Monday night approached, the Lady Cardinals were preparing to travel to Princeton, to battle the rival Lady Tigers in a 5:30 first pitch.
