The Mercer Lady Cardinals had an up-and-down softball week, starting with the young Cardinals struggling in a 15-0 loss at Princeton a week ago Monday, but rebounding with a 9-3 HDC Conference win against Winston the following day.
With their scheduled game with East Harrison cancelled due to the Bobcats lack of players forcing an early end to their season, the Lady Cardinals will play at Tri-County in a non-conference game on Thursday, September 7th, then take a #2 seed into the conference tournament in Bethany this Saturday.
Due to the Labor Day holiday, the regular Monday airing of the Mercer coaches show moved to Tuesday afternoon at 3:50, with KTTN Sports Director Tom Johnson catching up with Melissa Hill.
